First Post

A tool thats brought the world close...
Hello to all on this wonderful world that man invented using 0's and 1's. Finally I have started a blog in these maze of blogs. A wish mine finally coming true. I was procrastinating for couple of years now and well sometimes time is also a factor for a busy person especially a busy mom. First of all I want to share that I was a person who did not want to learn computers. I sure did join for a six month course when I got time and was free. I managed to learn Oracle but never wished to be in the IT field for a career/work. It was great to get to know about all the details of computers. The knowledge I gained surely helped me to teach the Fundamentals of Computers at Reese Systemnet. That was an institute run by a couple of budding IT professionals during the time when lot of small IT institutes cropped up in the busy city of the Nawabs in India.

I felt this field was challenging but not anymore. The perception you get at the beginning of anything can change of course when you venture into it.It was but amazing how later this knowledge helped get my first paid job. It was a completely different world. Teaching elementary level kids in a budding private school. It gave me a lot of hands on experience with computers and teaching kids the functions of a computer and its basic languages. Taking care of 36 computers and 34 kids is not a joke. I was managing and taking care of living and non living things for which I was given incharge. 'Never ever underestimate anything as that could be the thing that one day will lift you up'. There is nothing a man cannot do.

The first exposure to internet was when I had to send mails to my husband who was oceans away due to his work.It sure is an easy mode of communication.Hours of waiting for my husband made me meet people via e-chat.Its is a virtual world in itself. It has its goods and its bads and of course all this depends on the people sitting in front of the system. Its just a plea to all those in this world, its up to you to take control of your minds and souls. Finally at the end of the day all that matters is whether you are true to yourself and the others around you. Living like a chameleon is not what we as human beings need to inculcate. So before you type in lies in any chat window give it a thought, are YOU TRUE TO YOURSELF? As for me this is a medium which keeps me quickly and economically communicated to my friends and family around the world.

Internet browsing is something which I enjoy to gain knowledge. Now its easily available for me 24/7. I don't have to visit a library to get to know of anything. For those living in the developed worlds were computer is part of life and people have computers at home they learn/read the vast array of information in the convenience of their living rooms or bedrooms.
For folks in the developing world they need to go to computer centers to learn. Kids learn in schools if, the schools have all the infrastructure and money to fund all such programs. Browsing is done at internet cafes which have cropped up at every street corner now. A business in itself. Well for those who don't have access and means for all this only the words of an educated person is the source for information.

Thanks to all the pioneers and the pursuing geeks and thinkers who have made information easily available. Its amazing how man can think and later a medium is created for storage and retrieval of data. A medium that brings the worlds closer. A medium where no ink is needed to express what one feels. Well again it all boils down to mathematics, electronics, logic, creativity, patience, linguistic skills, lot of training and research.Man wants to be fast and have information at hands in seconds. Its great to be part of this world. Its great to get to know of it and finally be able to write my opinions/share my views in a page.

See you all soon.

"Its never too late for anything."
